The Cottage On The Hill was perfect for my getaway! The bathroom was so clean and the shower was amazing - it felt like standing under a warm waterfall! As a guest who loves a refreshing shower, I couldn't have asked for more.

The only small downside was that the bathroom had only one shower. But hey, some people might enjoy taking turns and making it a bonding experience!

amazing countryside getaway, nestled between Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, spacious and relaxing bungalow, surrounded by nature, comfortable beds and stunning views, friendly and helpful owners.

Mirror placement in the bathroom off, above the loo instead of above the sink/light.

We had an amazing stay at this countryside cottage. The views from the lounge window and kitchen patio doors were absolutely breathtaking. The bedrooms had very comfortable beds with fabulous pillows and duvets. The location was perfect for us, as there were plenty of walks to enjoy right from the doorstep. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious homemade cakes that were waiting for us upon arrival. The owner and their family were incredibly hospitable and made us feel very welcome. Additionally, on Friday and Saturday nights, we were able to order delicious flame baked pizzas from the main house area, which was a fantastic bonus.

Couldn't find any faults at all.

Nestled between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, this spacious bungalow offers a tranquil escape. Imagine waking up to stunning views from the lounge window and enjoying delicious homemade cakes upon arrival. The comfortable beds, pillows, and duvets guarantee a restful sleep. You can even order flame-baked pizzas on weekends. With plenty of walking routes right at your doorstep, this country paradise offers the perfect retreat.

The lack of outdoor seating and a secure area for dogs can be a drawback for some guests.

We got excellent value for our money at this spacious and peaceful bungalow. The room had amazing views and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The location, situated between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, was perfect for exploring. The staff, especially Ruth and her family, were incredibly welcoming and even treated us to delicious homemade cakes upon arrival.

Breakfast choices could be improved with more variety.
